Flat Knitting

Our flat-knitting section runs twelve machines. At full capacity they knit 6,000 kg of fabric a day; we split the work across them by order and weight.

Flat knitting makes pieces knitted to shape rather than cut from a roll: collars, cuffs, trims and panels. We set the stitch at the machine, so the batch holds the hand-feel and width of the sample.

The machines run under the same roof, where knitting sits next to the dyehouse. If a batch drifts we know which machine it came from.
