Our Policies

We commit in writing to how we produce, under four headings: quality, energy, integrated management and social compliance. Every clause is concrete, measurable and open to independent audit; we do not put any figure here that we cannot verify.

ISO 9001 · ISO 10002 · OEKO-TEX 100

Our Quality Policy

We produce fabric that stays faithful to the sample and is delivered on time; we do not ship a batch whose colour does not hold — we take it back. We keep product safety within the limits of OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100.

Faithful to the sample

Since 1982 we have been a vertically integrated polyester performance-knitting manufacturer from yarn to dyed fabric: we produce polyester filament yarn in-house and carry out knitting, dyeing and finishing processes under one roof. The essence of our understanding of quality can be summed up in a single sentence: whatever the approved sample is, that is the batch we ship. We define this policy within the framework of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 10002:2018 complaint management and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 (Ref. 13.HTR.34221) product safety; we declare, as a binding commitment, that we meet customer requirements and applicable legal requirements.

Our Commitments

  1. Fidelity to the sample and batch consistencyWhatever the approved sample is, that is the batch we ship; we target consistency from batch to batch and within the roll (head-middle-end) in hand-feel, weight (g/m²), width and colour, measure and record deviation, and do not allow it to fall outside customer tolerances.
  2. Colour management and measurabilityWe carry out colour matching in our own dyehouse with a spectrophotometer and numerical ΔE; we adopt the principle of measured and recorded approval, not "approval by eye".
  3. Batch-based inspection and laboratory infrastructureWe evaluate every batch with the 4-point fabric inspection system; in our in-house laboratory we run tests such as colour fastness, pilling, dimensional stability, moisture management, abrasion and breaking/tensile strength according to international customer and brand test protocols.
  4. Non-shipment of non-conforming batchesWe identify, segregate and prevent the shipment of products that fail inspection; we do not knowingly send out-of-specification fabric on its way.
  5. Calibration and measurement reliabilityWe calibrate the instruments on which we base our quality decisions against traceable references, verify them at defined intervals and keep them under record.
  6. Customer focus and on-time deliveryWe stay faithful to the agreed deadline and quantity, measure delivery performance, and proactively notify the customer of any deviation risk without delay.
  7. Systematic handling of complaintsWe handle every complaint impartially and with respect for confidentiality, investigate the root cause, feed back the solution and initiate corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  8. Input and supplier controlWe source yarn, dyestuffs and chemicals procured from outside with defined acceptance criteria; we manage dyehouse chemicals under OEKO-TEX STeP (Level 2) in accordance with ZDHC MRSL 3.1.
  9. Product safetyWe commit that our products comply with the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 (Ref. 13.HTR.34221) limit values and are safe from yarn to dyed fabric.
  10. Water and environmental contextWe do not discharge dyehouse water untreated; we measure the water we consume, reduce it gradually and return what is recovered to the cycle.
  11. Employee competence and quality awarenessThe one who makes the decision and the one at the machine carry the same responsibility; we continually develop quality and product-safety awareness through training.
  12. Continual improvementWe turn the outputs of inspection data, complaints, internal audits and corrective actions into measurable quality objectives.

As Fersan Tekstil Top Management, we establish, implement, maintain and regularly review this Quality Policy; we ensure that the policy is appropriate to the company's purpose, context and strategic direction and provides a framework for our quality objectives. We keep this policy available as documented information, communicate it within the organisation and make it appropriately accessible to relevant parties (customers, suppliers and audit bodies).

Our Energy Policy

Under one roof of 48,000 m² we measure energy, monitor inefficiency and commit to gradually reducing what we consume — not with exaggerated targets, but by keeping records.

Energy, measured

Fersan Tekstil is a vertically integrated polyester performance-knit fabric manufacturer and a family company operating since 1982; with 410 employees, a monthly knitting capacity of 750 tonnes and under one roof of 48,000 m² we run the entire chain in-house. The knitting, dyeing and finishing processes at our Çorlu/Tekirdağ factory require energy; for this reason we consider energy an important environmental aspect of our business. We manage energy not under a formal Energy Management System (ISO 50001), but with top-management commitment and integrated with our existing ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system.

Our Commitments

  1. Measurement and monitoringWe measure, record and monitor the energy we consume on a process and site basis; we accept that no improvement can be made without measurement.
  2. Gradual reductionBased on measurement data, we target a gradual reduction in energy intensity per unit of production and monitor progress; we do not state unverified target figures.
  3. Efficiency priorityWe regard energy efficiency in the knitting, dyeing, finishing, roll-winding and sewing processes as an inseparable criterion of production decisions.
  4. Efficient equipment and process designIn new investment and renewal we prefer high-efficiency technology; we consider heat/steam recovery, insulation and automation.
  5. Purchasing that considers energy performanceWe include energy performance among our evaluation criteria in equipment procurement.
  6. Renewable contribution via rooftop solarWith the rooftop solar power plant on our Çorlu factory, we provide a renewable energy contribution to our production; we consider maintaining and expanding this.
  7. Low-carbon orientationWe progress toward reducing carbon intensity and monitor performance within the scope of ISO 14001 and Higg FEM. We do not claim net-zero/carbon-neutral; the solar plant provides a contribution, not total consumption.
  8. Employee awareness and trainingWe raise the awareness of our 410 employees about using energy efficiently and make energy saving part of daily work.
  9. Legal and programme complianceWe comply with Turkish Energy Efficiency Law No. 5627 and related legislation, and with OEKO-TEX STeP and Higg FEM programme requirements.
  10. Integration with the environmental systemWe do not discharge dyehouse water untreated; we measure what we consume, reduce it gradually and return what is recovered to the cycle — we apply the same discipline to energy as well.
  11. Continual improvement (PDCA)We regularly review our energy performance with the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle.
  12. Transparency and honestyWe share only verified, measurable information; we do not state unverified figures.

Top management is responsible for the implementation of this policy. We announce our policy to all our employees, suppliers and business partners, keep it accessible, and review it periodically together with our energy performance. We consider using energy less and more efficiently a responsibility as important as the continuity of our production.

Our Integrated Policy

The entire chain, from yarn to knitting, from dyeing to finishing and shipment, is brought together in a single management system. We run quality, environment and occupational health and safety together under the umbrella of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

One management system

As FERSAN TEKSTİL Tic. ve San. Ltd. Şti., we manage our quality, our environmental responsibility and our occupational health and safety not as three separate systems, but by bringing ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 together under the umbrella of a single Integrated Management System. This policy does not repeat the sub-policies; it is the overarching framework that unites them into a single managerial whole. At our two sites (Beylikdüzü — sewing/shipment; Çorlu — knitting/dyeing/finishing) we do not manage any process outside the chain, on its own.

Knitting line at the Çorlu facility — integrated production under one roof

Our Commitments

  1. We define our value chain as a whole of interconnected processes; by embedding quality, environmental and OHS requirements into every process simultaneously, we run a single integrated standard from yarn to shipment.
  2. In every process we address quality risk, environmental impact and OHS hazard together with a single risk-assessment approach; we take as a basis eliminating risk first at its source.
  3. We operate the integrated system with the PDCA cycle; we set measurable objectives and continually improve through internal audit and Management Review.
  4. We fully comply with the applicable legal legislation and with our customers' product/conformity requirements, and we prove this compliance.
  5. We take the expectations of relevant parties (customers, employees, suppliers, neighbouring community, regulators, brand-customers) as input to our objectives; we manage complaints within the framework of ISO 10002:2018.
  6. We assure product safety through OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 conformity, within an integrated framework from yarn to shipment rather than in individual processes.
  7. We manage dyeing and finishing chemicals with OEKO-TEX STeP and ZDHC MRSL conformity; we eliminate restricted substances at their source.
  8. We do not discharge dyehouse water untreated; we measure what we consume, reduce it gradually and return what is recovered to the cycle.
  9. We use resources responsibly and assure recycled content with GRS 4.0 and RCS 2.0 chain-of-custody integrity.
  10. We provide our employees with safe and healthy working conditions; we consult employees in OHS decisions and involve all employees in hazard reporting and risk assessment.
  11. We expect the same principles from our suppliers; we transparently measure environmental and social performance within the Higg FEM 2024 and Higg FSLM 2025 (SLCP-compliant) frameworks.
  12. We define roles and responsibilities at every level; we develop quality/environment/OHS competence through training; we do not declare any figure that we cannot verify.

As top management we assume leadership of our Integrated Management System, allocate the necessary resources and regularly review this policy. This document is the top-level reference document of our Integrated Management System; it is proof of our commitment to continually improve quality, environment and occupational health and safety under one roof.

  9. Transparent recruitmentDirect and transparent; we do not use fee-charging intermediaries; we subject migrant/seasonal workers to equal rights and conditions as well.
  10. Supply-chain expectationWe expect the same commitments from subcontractor suppliers and, in case of non-conformity, work on a corrective plan.
  11. Grievance mechanismWe offer an application channel that is free of fear of retaliation and protects confidentiality, and conclude it within a reasonable time with the ISO 10002:2018 approach.
  12. Management by evidenceWe conduct SLCP / Higg FSLM 2025 self-assessment and internal audits, and behave openly toward customer CoC audits.

Top management is responsible for the implementation of this policy; responsibilities have been assigned and employees have been informed. We regularly conduct internal audit and self-assessment (Higg FSLM 2025 / SLCP-compliant), take corrective action based on findings, and periodically review and update the policy with the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. We comply with all applicable labour, OHS, environmental and human-rights legislation and with customer Codes of Conduct; where there is a difference between local law and the international standard, we apply the provision that better protects the worker.
